Uber Driver Signup Page

Uber needed a revamp of the landing page potential drivers use to sign up. The UX wasn't doing well, so they wanted better form validation and a clearer flow through the questions. I picked up the work as a contract through Austin Consultants.

Problem/Context

Before this, the signup experience was clunky. Uber's design team had already done a redesign and handed me the specs in Zeplin. The designs included validation rules, input behaviour, and how questions should flow from one to the next. The goal was to make it easier for drivers to complete signup.

Role/Contribution

I implemented the form validation and new inputs per the design specs, building them into the existing React platform. I worked with various Uber teams to integrate their APIs, making sure the correct data was sent through and nothing sensitive like passwords was handled client-side.

Outcome/Impact

I wasn't involved after launch, so I don't have conversion or analytics data. It achieved its goal of improving the signup experience for drivers.
